How time has flown! It has been nearly two weeks since my wedding at your beautiful venue.

I wanted to reach out now that my feet have finally had a chance to touch the ground after the honeymoon. This is just an email to share my overwhelming sense of gratitude for everything that you did for the event. As my now-husband (!) said in his speech, both he and I had little confidence we'd be able to even have a wedding ceremony at such short notice. Not only did we have such an incredible time but I cannot point to anything that would have made the day better. As fellow (former) academics, I'm sure you'll appreciate that I hesitate to use the term perfect to describe anything. Yet, my wedding day was perfect in every sense of the word. 

I considered myself to be in such good company at such a busy time in my life, and it was so great to get to know each one of you. Eunice, thanks for being immediately on-call when we collided with a rock on our way to the venue. Shelley, your Cosmopolitan was outstanding and thanks for going along with the photographer's seemingly strange request to swish my dress. Jo, I will always be grateful to know you fought the registrars on our behalf over the shape of the tables to ensure we could actually get married. This list of thanks is by no means exhaustive, but they are moments where I'm sure that without you three the day wouldn't have gone as smoothly or anywhere near as fun (!). I have no doubt you shall all make so many other couples so happy for their wedding and I'm just delighted that both Matt and I were one of them.
